Saffron Young People’s Project (SYPP) is a voluntary, not-for-profit detached youth work organisation which works on the streets and open spaces of the Saffron Lane Estate in Leicester.

The strengths of the project lie in the ability to respond to the needs of young people as they arise, enabling the project to be young person led. A small but dedicated team work with young people on the estate, providing help and advice on the issues they raise, including family, drugs, bullying, alcohol, school, smoking, friends, activities, sexual health and relationships.

SYPP also provides street sessions, information on what’s going on in the area and citywide, opportunities to visit other centres, project work and activities. SYPP provides confidential and emotional support along with practical advice and assistance.
